The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is leading the fight to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle debilitating diseases that take away physical strength, independence and life. We use our collective strength to help kids and adults live longer and grow stronger by finding research breakthroughs across diseases; caring for individuals from day one; and empowering families with services and support in hometowns across America.

MDA Southern Wisconsin serves 1,300 children and adults here in our community living with muscular dystrophy and related diseases that take away everyday abilities like walking, running, hugging, getting dressed independently and even talking and breathing. These diseases are life-threatening, and today we have few treatments and no cures.

MDA is a top-rated charity by Charity Watch and the Better Business Bureau and 74% of every dollar spent goes directly to research, health care services, and education.
