The Inaugural MDA Children’s Art Auction premiered at the 2011 Black-N-Blue Ball and will be back for an encore appearance. This auction will feature art created especially for this event by children from across southeastern and southwestern Wisconsin. Guests have the opportunity to meet the artists and their families and then bid on their art during a mini-live auction that takes place prior to dinner.
This MDA art collection offers children with disabilities the opportunity for self-actualization through the creative process. The collection demonstrates that everyone is able. It also shows, once again, that the arts can help build bridges of understanding and acceptance.
